This subject applies drawing principles and techniques in a range of contexts appropriate to New Media. Using a variety of resources, including lectures and practical workshops involving individual and group projects, students will investigate ways of projecting meaning using visual imagery and its treatment. These investigations will draw upon integrating image with text, sound and pictorial narration.

Learning Outcomes

• acquire skills in portraying meaning;
• broad understanding of concepts and principles for encoding meaning using imagery;
• experience at integrating image and text;
• experience at working collegially in New Media projects.
