In this subject students will develop an understanding of the principles and theory of digital image manipulation. They will also develop skills and gain experience in the operation of software used in the image manipulation process. Students will learn how to access and utilise current information and resources related to digital media and production using a variety of communication media, and will also learn to manage and structure their digital imaging output and optimisation for online, and other, applications.

- established knowledge of varying applications of digital images and their optimisation;
- development of an individual creative direction using digital imagery;
- established appreciation of the role of light in digital image formation.
