This subject will focus on equipping students with the analytical skills necessary to deal with conflict and dispute situations. Students will undertake critical analysis of a range of conflict and dispute situations in order to develop a deeper level of understanding of the processes of conflict analysis and the selection of appropriate conflict interventions and management strategies.

Learning Outcomes

• understand the forces that operate in the field of conflict and dispute transformation and resolution;
• begin to build a set of practical skills in relation to the analysis of conflict, including conflict mapping and process design, conflict intervention selection and conflict management systems;
• understand the range of conflict analysis and management skills necessary to manage complex forms of conflict successfully.
