Risk Management: exposure mapping; philosophies and strategies; risk treatment systems. Topics in Risk Management: environmental risk; fraud; risk financing. Governance and Risk: control; assurance; risk management structures; politics of risk society.
Learning Outcomes
- understand the notion of Risk Society and its implications;
- align notions of value creation, resource utilisation and risk management;
- develop skills in risk analysis and modelling, in relation to various types of risks facing organisations;
- develop an appreciation of relationships between organisational governance and risk management structures.
