To provide a practical and theoretical understanding of the law of evidence to prepare students for what will be required in practice. The course will give a background to the development of the common law and will also look at the relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation.
Learning Outcomes
- an awareness of the importance of evidence to legal practice;
- develop skills to determine relevant and irrelevant facts and evidence;
- develop the ability to research and analyse primary and secondary sources;
- development of written communication skills.
