To introduce students to the concept of property; to provide students with a background to the historical development of land law, and how that now impacts on land law in Queensland and Australia; introduce students to the concepts of interests and rights in land in Australia; provide students with the knowledge on how the common law has been incorporated into the Property Law Act 1974 (Qld)
Learning Outcomes
- an awareness of the significance of Land and Property Law to legal practice and everyday life;
- develop the ability to research and analyse primary and secondary sources;
- development of written and oral communication skills.
