This subject builds on knowledge and skills gained in LA1105/LA2011. Topics covered include termination of contracts, remedies and vitiating elements.
Learning Outcomes
- increase your understanding of the purposes and effects of the law of contract in our economic and social environments;
- develop a detailed understanding of the remedies at common law, in equity and under statute;
- develop your knowledge and understanding of vitiating factors and how they impact on contractual formation;
- reflect upon the values and assumptions inherent in the law of contract, and the impact/implications of that law on the social and economic life of Australians;
- develop your knowledge of termination including by agreement, operation of law and frustration.
