Learning Outcomes
- to achieve a level where students can engage with facility in conversation with native speakers on everyday topics and on vocational topics relevant to their own interest and experience and to communicate successfully on these topics also in reading and writing. Their control of grammar at the sentence level should be good. While errors may be made, they should rarely interfere with understanding, or irritate or amuse native speakers of a similar socio- cultural background. This level corresponds, in broad terms, with Level 3 on the Australian Second Language Proficiency Rating (ASLPR) scale.
