This subject is an introduction to the concepts and technologies of computer graphics, computer animation and computer visualisation. It explores aspects of computer games and computer simulations. Topics covered include interactive 2D/3D graphics, animation, modelling, visualisation, and geometric transformations.
Learning Outcomes
- practical experience and skills using various modern graphics and animation software tools with emphasis on games software development and simulation software development;
- an appreciation of the technology behind computer graphics software and hardware;
- a practical understanding of various computer graphics libraries in programming;
- an understanding of the rendering and viewing techniques for 2D and 3D models.
