This subject is the first of two subjects (the other being CH4503) that in combination constitute the full-year Honours subject in Industrial Chemistry. The subject is a combination of a major research project and coursework.

Learning Outcomes

• to allow students to extend their understanding of chemistry (including industrial chemistry)by undertaking appropriate advanced level short- courses in Chemistry;
• to allow students to develop practical skills in Industrial Chemistry by undertaking a major research project in a research laboratory.
