This subject will develop a framework for understanding financing and managing the resources of a business. Managers are concerned with acquiring, financing and managing the business's assets in a challenging environment. The ability to adapt and expand your knowledge base will be developed through examining short-term financial management, the time value of money, capital budgeting, capital structure and risk, allowing you to embrace innovations borne of changing contexts. This subject is compulsory for students wishing to satisfy professional accreditation requirements in the Bachelor of Business (Accounting).
Learning Outcomes
- self-identify misconceptions and common mistakes in financial management;
- develop an understanding of the logic of financial decision making as an integrating theme;
- develop disciplinary knowledge and computational ability in selected topics;
