Students will be introduced to the essential knowledge and abilities they need to engage actively and effectively as an academic learner. Participation in the subject includes developing personal study skills and academic writing techniques.

Face to face teaching (Classes will be held from 9am-4pm over three consecutive days during orientation week then for the next eight weeks for a two hour tutorial)

Contact hours:
  • 18 hours lectures - 3 days at 6 hrs in an intensive block mode during orientation week for the lecture delivery
  • 16 hours tutorials - tutorial classes 2hrs a week for weeks 1-8
    Assessment:quizzes or tests (50%); (50%).
