Available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Science, Certificate of Science, Graduate Diploma, Master of Applied Science or Masters programs.

This subject will introduce the student to aquaculture in tropical Australia and other tropical regions of the World. It will provide information about the status and methods of production of the major species cultured in this region and about the trends and opportunitieis for new species culture. This subject shares lectures and field work with AQ2002.

Students enrolling in this subject should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (eg marine biology, biology or aquaculture) or have acquired equivalent knowledge through other study or industry experience. They should have an excellent understanding of science subjects including basic biology, chemistry, aquaculture and statistics.
