Available to graduate students. Pre-requisite for epidemiology course based Masters in Tropical Veterinary Science
A multi-mode learning module, which will enable students to complete it at their own pace and primarily off campus. It is designed to allow veterinarians to obtain advanced knowledge in disease modelling techniques, applied economics and risk analysis
Learning Outcomes
- be able to use commonly applied quantitative procedures and techniques for making decisions applicable to veterinarians involved with animal populations;
- be able to develop suitable models for disease outbreak and disiease control situations;
- be able to understand and develop a risk analysis model;
- be able to integrate and apply economics to their models;
- be able to determine cost effective methods of disease control at a micro and macro level.
