SP5011 - Research Project in Sport and Exercise Science

This subject aims to allow students to demonstrate a higher level of skill in research in sport and exercise science than SP5012. The amount of work required is that associated with a 6 unit subject; approximately 240 hours of personal time. Students must undertake an original research project of a relevant issue to such a level that the outcome can be published. The student must negotiate supervision by academic staff within the Institute of Sport and Exercise Science, obtain approval of research methodology from the Institute's Research Committee and ethics approval from the JCU Ethics Committee before enrolment. The expected outcome is submission of a manuscript to a peer reviewed journal.
