Available, at the discretion of the Head of College, to all students with a BPhotog or equivalent qualification undertaking the BPhotog(Hons) practice degree. Except with the approval of the Head of School/Associate Dean, all subjects in a chain must be studied in consecutive teaching periods.
This subject is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of practice-based research and to enable them to further develop a highly focussed perception and advanced technical mastery within photography resulting in a body of work for exhibition and critical review.

Learning Outcomes
- create a body of work where a strong relationship between theory and practice is demonstrated;
- practise and acquire advanced techniques within the chosen field of photography to a fully professional level.

Assessment: | presentation of a previously agreed upon body of work leading to a one-person exhibition, presentation or installation in an accredited space or site. the body of work should be accompanied by a professional standard of documentation in the form of a catalogue, statement, invitations and identification of works shown. |
