This subject is available to students entering the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) program, following approval of the Head of Physiotherapy. Students will utilise previously acquired skills and knowledge to develop an original project relevant to physiotherapy. This subject will focus on the development of a research plan and involve the submission and presentation of same.
Learning Outcomes
- develop a proposal for an original research project relevant to physiotherapy which will add to the knowledge base of the profession and enhance the prestige of the JCU discipline of physiotherapy whilst illustrating impeccable ethical standards in every phase of the project;
- demonstrate the excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to develop a project plan, including consideration of resource, timeframe, methodological and ethical issues;
- demonstrate the capacity and initiative required to independently manage the development of a comprehensive project proposal;
- deliver a professional presentation of the project proposal to colleagues from physiotherapy and other health sciences.
