Students will be asked to identify a topic of interest or concern in their workplace; conduct a literature search on the chosen topic; generate a range of possible ways of improving practice in relation to the chosen topic and assess their evidential bases; and submit a written report, including the rationale for the topic, a short literature review, a summary of the practice development strategies available and their evidential bases and a brief plan for implementing change based on the evidence.
Learning Outcomes
- to assess the evidence for particular standpoints or practices in forensic care;
- to conduct a literature search and write a systematic review;
- to critically assess aspects of their workplace practices;
- to locate resources and data relevant to forensic issues;
- to make evidence-based recommendations for change in forensic settings.
