In this subject students are offered the opportunity to conduct a project of relevance to their professional practice as nurses. The aim of this project is to contribute to addressing identified practice issues. The project should be original and workplace orientated, and requires the integration of knowledge from other subjects as well as the experiences the student has working as a nurse in a clinical, management or educational role.
Learning Outcomes
- apply evidence-based nursing research skills to the evaluation of project outcomes;
- demonstrate the ability to present the project as a clearly formulated report of publishable standard;
- further develop their research, critical reflective and analytical skills;
- demonstrate the ability to design a project that addresses an identified workplace problem related to practice in the current health context;
- implement a workplace-focussed project.
