A workshop subject intended to introduce students to the creative and technical processes required to utilise time-based media. A project devised by students requiring use of the moving image, supported by script, story line, will be used to introduce understandings about capture, input, streaming, coding, differential characteristics of audio and visual data.
Learning Outcomes
- ability to describe the process followed from conception to production in the set project with links to the relevant academic, theoretical and professional debates;
- skills needed to analyse and self-evaluate video production project;
- demonstrated technical and creative proficiency in all aspects of capture, manipulation and storage of production material;
- capacity to work within a creative team setting using a range of negotiation and mediation skills.
