A course of lectures and practicals on statistical methods in the applied sciences. Topics include an introduction to scientific inference, exploratory data analysis on PCs, analysis of variance, regression, repeated measures analyses, nonparametric techniques and analysis of messy data.

• develop skills in practical statistical modelling.
