Learning Outcomes
- understand the notion of the Knowledge Economy and its implications for organisational functioning;
- become familiar with models of virtial organisations as a way of considering structural options for organisations;
- develop skills relevant to managing processes in and around organisations, and relationships with customers and suppliers;
- develop an understanding of Knowledge Management, and illustrate it in relation to core competences, organisational identity, and intellectual capital in organisations;
- develop skills relevant to managing performance in organisations (progess in value creation, waste elimination, innovation) illustrated through the notion of 'balanced scorecards'.
