In Advanced level subjects students study a wide range of authentic material such as TV dramas and documentaries, fictional and non-fictional prose. Tasks include summarising and discussing the content of Japanese TV programs and various readings, both in speech and in writing.

Learning Outcomes

• to equip students with the skills necessary to comprehend to a fair degree of detail the content of films, TV dramas, short stories, newspaper and magazine articles; summarise such, both in speech and in writing; satisfy routine requirements of everyday social situations.

Assumed Knowledge:	To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level
