The subject is available to all students who possess an undergraduate degree in teaching (ie Bachelor of Education) or other relevant degree or diploma approved by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Information Technology and the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences.

Co-learning for a Sustainable Future looks at learning through stewardship, partnerships and community engagement in biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and environmental decision-making. It explores both formal and informal processes for creating sustainable options for the future and makes explicit links between co-learning, planning and action for sustainability. Students are required to identify and evaluate processes and programs that promote shared learnings, actions and visions for sustainable futures among a range of different organisations and professionals.
