Available ONLY to students enrolled in the BEd. Enrolment in Study Period 2 offerings is at the discretion of the Director, Professional Experience. Students must enrol in ED4090 or ED4190 or ED4293 in the same study period as ED4488.
This subject is part of the developmental curriculum for Professional Experience within the Bachelor of Education program. Students will complete 5 (five) days of professional orientation which may include engaging in whole group visits to education settings and seminars with education leaders. All students will be placed in a school and attend for 15 allocated days, completing a range of activities to develop an understanding of the complexities of teachers roles.
Learning Outcomes

- develop an understanding of school settings and how they operate over a school term;
- identify, value, analyse and support a range of learner diversity in a school setting;
- integrate and begin to articulate knowledge of policies, research and practices and own personal practice consistent with employing authorities and school policies and procedrues and legal and ethical obligations of teachers;
- use professional standards to critically assess professional growth.
