This subject is an introduction to the curriculum and teaching in the area of business and commerce in Secondary school. The subject will introduce the Business and Commerce Syllabus to Year 10 and the theoretical and pedagogical aspects that underpin its structure and implementation.
Learning Outcomes
- apply a critical understanding to issues in secondary school curriculum and teaching in business and commerce;
- demonstrate a knowledge of key elements of the curriculum in the area of their role in teaching;
- demonstrate skills of planning and presentation relevant to teaching in business and commerce at secondary school level to Year 10;
- identify and evaluate the curriculum framework, content, processes and skills including different assessment modes.
