This subject provides an introduction to the technology KLA essential learnings; the components of information literacy and the ICT (Information Communication Technology) cross curricula priority statements. Students will engage with inquiring, creating, communicating and operating ICTs within an ethical framework along with exploring important current issues with ICT such as Indigenous uses of ICT and ICT for sustainability. Teaching and learning theory and pedagogies underpinning the technology KLA; information literacy and ICT are identified. The social and psychological impact of information communication technologies and their connection with, and beyond education is explored.
