Available to students enrolled in Master of Applied Science (Mining & Exploration Geology), Minerals Geoscience Masters and Graduate Diploma of Science (Economic Geology).
Intensive 8-day course designed to provide geoscientists with essential exploration-related field skills in complexly deformed and altered rocks. The course will emphasise the integration of structural, paragenetic, and textural field observations and analyses in unravelling patterns of fluid flow, alteration and mineralisation. The course will be based in the Mt Isa Block.
Learning Outcomes
- Advanced field geological skills in interpreting structural and alteration patterns in rocks, not available through undergraduate programs or offered commercially elsewhere.
