Available to postgraduate students in the School of Marine and Tropical Biology, who have been approved to do the research option.
Candidates will prepare a literature review, the topic should be pertinent to their minor project and selected in consultation with suspervisor(s) and/or the course coordinator. The review should be a critical appraisal of the objectives, methodologies and results of previous research relating to the topic.
Learning Outcomes
- enhance knowledge and understanding of a specified area of biology;
- acquire proficiency in literature evaluation and/or data collection and analysis;
- develop skills in preparing and presenting written technical reports;
- develop the practical skills required for carrying out a research project;
- gain experience in problem-solving and scientific decision-making.
