This subject introduces students to a series of concepts and research approaches in the tourist and customer behaviour field. It considers the characteristics of tourists, tourist motivation, destination image and choice. It follows an organising model of the literature so that the consequences of on-site behaviour and choice are explored. These consequences include satisfaction, learning, cultural contact and community impacts.
