A synthesis of content, structure and style will be explored, along with strategies for formulating and realizing complex abstract and narrative ideas and concepts. The translation and manipulation of the orthographic image through electronic media will be experienced. The development and presentation of visual research and thought experiences will be expressed through a research journal/visual diary and self-directed practical work.

    Assessment:two drawing folios(40% each) (80%); research journal/visual diary (20%).
    Special Assessment Requirements:To establish the authenticity of work submitted for assessment, attendance at practical classes is compulsory. Rolls are kept & work submitted by students who attend less than 80% will not be eligible for assessment unless prior approval is obtained in writing from the lecturer. To pass this subject you must: Obtain an overall mark of 50% or more; Achieve a mark of at least 40% over all invigilated assessment items & Attempt each assessment item
