Enrolment in this subject is restricted to students enrolled in Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy IHCAP Program and the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Honours Program.

This subject will provide foundation skills and knowledge for students entering the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course. The subject will present an overview of the history of the physiotherapy profession along with issues relating to evidence-based practice and the role of key organisations within the profession. Research and literature search skills will be developed. Students will be introduced to the breadth of physiotherapy clinical practice and will have the opportunity to undertake site visits to develop professional knowledge. Key concepts relating to the role of physiotherapy within the health environment will be explored.
