Available ONLY to students enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate of Allied Health Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy (Coursework).

Human sexual development across the lifespan will be described with relevance to issues raised within health professionals practice. Cultural issues that occur within a multicultural society and gender choices will be explored in conjunction with professional ethics, religion, morality and Australian law. Students will gain knowledge of sexual concerns and issues for people with disabilities. This subject does not intend to equip students with the skills to conduct sex counselling.
