OT3007 - Rural and Urban Practice Perspectives

This subject will provide a minimum of 190 hours (five weeks at 38 hours) of supervised clinical placement with flexible support from the University as an alternate fieldwork placement to OT3005, for students completing an accelerated course or an alternate progression through the course. This subject should be completed in conjunction with OT4006 fieldwork requirements. The focus of this subject is to integrate previous academic material with clinical experience, with new observational and practical clinical training. The placement will be either rural or urban and will enable the student to apply, utilise and develop the theories and principles of occupational therapy in a variety of settings. Students may be required to undertake placements in a facility away from the campus at which they are currently enrolled, at their own expense.
