This subject develops concepts introduced in Ns2011and introduces the student to concepts of mental health nursing care.
Learning Outcomes
- continue to develop an awareness of the health needs of diverse groups within Australian society;
- develop and institute nursing care for clients with altered physiological and mental health status;
- discuss the clinical aspects of treatment practices and holistic patient care for the client who is experiencing an alteration in functional physiological and mental health status;
- integrate knowledge from other subjects in applying the skills of clinical decision making, reflective practice and therapeutic relationship building;
- integrate the professional knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for clinical application.
