This subject is based on the student developing a personal portfolio of work in an electronic book form that emphasises sculptural and spatial principles of the book as an installation and dynamic display. The visual material employed is to be generated by students set against integrative experiences in other units including Digital Printmedia.

Learning Outcomes

• understanding of spatial issues related to visual arts in the area of new media and sculpture theory;
• proficiency in all aspects of the design process and ability to test ideas through art production;
• demonstrated skills suitable for 2D/3D application in the production of book art or similar medium;
• production, backup/storage/retrieval and presentation techniques.

• The ability to deploy critically evaluated information to practical ends;
• The ability to find and access information using appropriate media and technologies;
• The acquisition of coherent and disciplined sets of skills, knowledge, values and professional ethics from at least one discipline area;
