Theories of human rights, international human rights and humanitarian law documents, treaties and domestic law, protection of rights in Australia State and Commonwealth.

Learning Outcomes

• a knowledge of substantive human rights and humanitarian law internationally and within Australia;
• understand how rights are protected in other jurisdictions;
• understanding of the jurisprudential concepts underlying human rights and humanitarian law.
