Subject available as part of a Foundation Program for students seeking entry to a university course.
This subject equips students with skills required for sucessful learning in a tertiary or work environment. It will introduce students to fundamental communication principles and techniques involved in researching, analysing and presenting information to relevant audiences. Students will also acquire skills in study planning, report writing and examination taking.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop a profile of communication skills required for participation in tertiary study;
- Develop plans for researching a variety of topics using library, internet and other resource technologies;
- Effectively participate in a collaborative learning environment;
- Become a self-directed learner.
