This subject focuses on current and future developments in diverse educational contexts and their significance for beginning teachers. It examines a range of expectations, situations, experiences, opportunities and resources which may be encountered and accessed by neophyte teachers as they work to achieve professional standards.
Learning Outcomes

- critically assess the implications for the role of the teacher of current and emerging educational issues, trends and professional standards;
- develop strategies for reflective practice and lifelong learning;
