Available to postgraduate students enrolled in the School of Tropical Biology.

Candidates will prepare a review of the literature on a topic chosen in consultation with the Course Coordinator and the supervisor of their research program. Candidates will also prepare a formal research proposal for their project, in consultation with their supervisor.

Learning Outcomes

• develop critical writing skills, especially those required for a research proposal;
• enhance knowledge and understanding of a specified area of biology;
• enhance reading, writing and presentation skills;
• identify and plan an effective approach to important research issues;
• learn how to prepare a review of a scientific literature.
