International business competes within a dynamic, strategic and global arena. The international business environment is always subject to change, as is the immediate business sphere. Business components including e-Business, e-Commerce, Services, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, HR, Politics, Law, Trade are also often subject to incremental or disruptive changes. The customer is yet another component to consider. Understanding this complex ingredient mix sets the framework for international success. A plan for strategic international business expansion is developed.
Learning Outcomes
- understand the broad history and foundations of international business;
- discuss, analyse and apply international business theory and policy;
- understand business from a global perspective and within the global marketplace;
- develop an international business solution eg. a global business plan, a business web site, a business/e-Business strategy, or an business simulation game solution;
- acquire insight(s) into the role of business enterprises in the expansion of business into the international environment.
