This subject will focus on using drawing as a design tool, as an important avenue for investigation and expression, and as a powerful perceptual discipline. A wide range of subject/object material, including the human figure will be used to deepen the individual's knowledge of theoretical and formal concerns in drawing. The employment and integration of media and heightening of skills development will be reviewed in relation to form and content

    Assessment:two drawing folios(40% each) (80%); research journal/visual diary (20%).
    Special Assessment Requirements:To establish the authenticity of work submitted for assessment, attendance at practical classes is compulsory. Rolls are kept & work submitted by students who attend less than 80% will not be eligible for assessment unless prior approval is obtained in writing from the lecturer. To pass this subject you must: Obtain an overall mark of 50% or more; Achieve a mark of at least 40% over all invigilated assessment items & Attempt each assessment item
