This subject will encompass a study of tonal and spatial relationships, objective and subjective viewpoints with emphasis on life drawing

Learning Outcomes

• be competent in the manipulation of a variety of different media;
• have a working knowledge of the various historical/contemporary methods of visual representation;
• develop and apply a range of mark making procedures;
• apply necessary technical skills to the representation of human form from specific objective/subjective view points.

Assessment:	four drawing folios @ 20% each (80%); research journal/visual diary (20%).
Special Assessment Requirements:	to establish the authenticity of work submitted for assessment attendance at practical classes is compulsory. Rolls are kept and work submitted by students who attend less than 80% will not be eligible for assessment unless prior approval has been obtained in writing from the lecturer. To Pass this subject you must: Obtain overall mark of 50% or more; Achieve a mark of at least 40% over all invigilated assessment items & Attempt each assessment item
