This subject will examine the role of research in clinical exercise physiology practice. This subject will examine sampling and analytic methods for quantitative and qualitative reserach, questionnaire design and evaluation, determination and validity and reliability of research designs, development of ethics applications, and evaluation of research designs of published papers.
Learning Outcomes
- develop proficiency in the conduct of reserach in the clinical exercise physiology context;
- understand the design, conduct and evaluation of research used in the clinical exercise physiology context namely, single case reports or case studies, population-wide surveys, observational outcome studies and randomised trials;
- complete a research project based on their clinical experience.
