This subject will provide students with the opportunity to experience the various roles of exercise physiologists in clinical exercise physiology settings and will provide exposure to the roles of other team members in rehabilitation processes, referral and communication pathways and medical record systems. Students will have opportunities to observe and work with health professionals during the design, implementation and evaluation phases of clinical exercise programs, and to learn about equipment, facilities and program planning used in clinical exercise physiology.

Students must satisfactorily complete: 117 hours of practicum placement related to musculoskeletal or cardiorespiratory/metabolic or neurological/neuromuscular conditions; On course assignment (case study); set practicum placement competency tasks; compilation of a working portfolio
