This subject examines the principles and practices of sports training and rehabilitation and the role that the sport and exercise scientist plays in the rehabilitation process. Topics include stretching for injury prevention and performance, sports massage, sports taping and bracing, therapeutic modalities, recovery, acute injury management, documentation procedures.
Learning Outcomes
- To develop understanding of the role of the sport and exercise scientist in sport training and rehabilitation;
- To examine the principles and practices of sport training and rehabilitation.
