This subject introduces new concepts which will benefit students in the later years of their electrical engineering course. Electricity and Magnetism, Optics.

Learning Outcomes

• appreciate the physical basis for the corresponding engineering curriculum;
• be able to solve practical problems associated with the theoretical background;
• be competent with experimental and empirical work and write reports;
• understand a selection of theoretical developments in the topics studied.

Prerequisites:	MA1003 and PH2019
Inadmissible Subject Combinations:	PH2002 and PH2004 and PH3019
