OT3006 - Rural and Urban Practice - Australian OT Perspectives

The subject will provide a minimum of 144 hours of supervised clinical placement with flexible support from the University to integrate previous academic material and clinical experience, with a new observational and practical clinical training. The placement will be either rural or urban and will enable the student to apply, utilise and develop the theories and principles of occupational therapy in a variety of settings. Students may be required to undertake clinical placements in a facility away from the campus at which they are currently enrolled, at their own expense.

Assessment:student placement evaluation (pass/fail); honours record (pass/fail); learning contract and reflection of learning (50%); essays (50%).
