Credit points: 03
Year: 2007

This subject provides the student with the opportunity to design and develop a project (policy, teaching package, risk management or quality improvement project, evidence-based research project) which can be used to improve patient care and explore an in-depth area of interest within a chosen specialty. The student will explore the elements of clinical governance in a contemporary health care environment. The students learning is thus extended and applied to addressing nursing problems related to a clinical setting. The topic for the major assignment is negotiated with the subject coordinator. The project should be original and clinically focused and related to the students work setting.
