Research is a necessary undertaking towards the continued development of nursing knowledge as well as personal professional development. This subject is designed to build on foundational knowledge of qualitative approaches gained in undergraduate nursing studies to both broaden and deepen students' understanding of this research paradigm and to extend their ability to discuss, appraise the work of others and participate in their own research. Students will examine, at an advanced level, issues and topics in research design and analysis which arise from qualitative traditions of inquiry.
